From the Srimad Bhagavatam, “ the source of all production, maintenance or destruction is the supreme conscious person; nothing is generated from inert matter, but inert matter can be generated from the living entity. Do not mistake the bodily machine to be the living being (or source of life); the living being is the basis of the bodily machine. The bodily machine is useless as soon as the living spark is away from it. The Supreme Person is the source of all material energy.
A neuroscientist Robert Lanza and others describe that the soul or consciousness sits at the rear or the head/ brain and once the soul or consciousness disappears the body dies or when the body gives up consciousness departs.
